Former P-Square star Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has dropped fresh explosive details in the ongoing family feud with his brothers Jude and Paul Okoye. In the sixth part of his tell-all video series, he accused them of buying two mansions with allegedly diverted funds and attempting to stop him from performing the group’s hit songs.
According to Peter, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) uncovered the properties during its investigation.
“Apparently, when EFCC were doing their investigation, they discovered two big mansions, two minutes away from this house. Guess who owns them – Paul and Jude. They traced it and found out they actually bought it from the stolen money. Now, they’ve sealed it up for forfeiture and that’s why they are mad,” he stated.
He linked the discovery to the deep resentment he believes his brothers now hold against him. Peter further revealed that Jude, with Paul’s support, served him a formal letter claiming ownership of the P-Square brand and seeking to prevent him from performing the group’s songs.
“There’s another court case. Jude served me a letter with the support of Paul that he is the P-Square. First thing they wanted to do was to stop me from performing P-Square’s songs,” he said.
The singer expressed shock that his twin brother Paul is reportedly standing as a witness for Jude in the matter. He described the entire situation as pure betrayal, recalling how he once sold his own car so the brothers could afford their first apartment in Omole when they relocated to Lagos.
Peter also continued his attack on the operations of Northside Music Limited. He alleged that the company’s bank account details and structure were irregular, with an address linked to Jude’s wife, and questioned how royalties ended up there without his full knowledge.
“Jude, hear yourself… How can your account officer put his address? Jude, you know what you are doing. You must provide that account officer. How is that possible? I’m not stupid. Everything about Northside Music is falsified,” he declared.
He insisted there is no such entity as “Northside Music Entertainment” as sometimes presented, stressing that the registered name is Northside Music Limited and that the setup excluded him improperly.
These latest revelations form part of a long-running and bitter dispute involving royalties, company control, property deals and an ongoing EFCC case against Jude over alleged money laundering. Jude has previously denied the accusations, stating that the matters are before the courts and accusing Peter of trying to shape public opinion outside the legal process.
