Former Big Brother Naija housemate Ike Onyema has opened up about his biggest regret from the reality show, admitting he would have cried more if he had known the real strategy to win.

Speaking in a recent interview with IK Osakioduwa on Kaptain Jeff TV, the media personality and entrepreneur confessed that he misunderstood what it truly took to claim the grand prize.

“I regret not crying. If I knew what the show is, guy, I’ll be in that house doing emotional this, crying up and down. But I thought if I go in there, win all my challenges and do gragra, that I’ll win the money,” he said.

Ike revealed that his total earnings from his first BBNaija appearance stood at around ₦3 million, even after winning several sponsored tasks.

“The first time, I can’t remember, but it shouldn’t be more than ₦4 million. It should be ₦3 point something million.”

He also addressed the romantic connection he formed inside the house, insisting it was genuine rather than pure content.

“For me, it was a normal relationship. I’m not so relationship person. I’m focused on business. I enjoyed it for the time that it lasted. The only thing I would change is I would try different ways to win that money.”

On his decision to leave the United States and return to Nigeria, Ike was firm. He stated that while life in America is enjoyable, the freedom to do business in Nigeria is far better. The media personality also admitted to past financial mistakes, including spending heavily on photoshoots and stylists, as well as investing in businesses without proper evaluation.
