Veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu has made an emotional public appeal for financial support after revealing she needs three urgent life-saving surgeries that will cost ₦30 million.

The beloved star, best known for her role as Peaceful Peace in the classic sitcom Fuji House of Commotion, shared a heartbreaking video from her hospital bed on Thursday. She disclosed that she has been hospitalised for three weeks and can no longer bear the mounting cost of her treatment alone.

In the tearful video, Nwosu pleaded:

“My people, my fans and my family, I know that you’ve not seen me in circulation for some time. I’ve been hospitalised now for three weeks. Please, the thing has gone beyond my control. I need your help. Don’t let me die. I know that you people never forsake me… I’m begging you, my fans and family, don’t let me die because I am going through a lot, as in pain.”

She added:

“Please don’t let me die. If there’s anything you want to do for me, please contact my management. They’ll be there for you. Thank you. God bless you.”

In the accompanying caption, the actress admitted how difficult it was to ask for help publicly.

“My fans, friends, family and colleagues, this was really hard for me to do, but I can’t keep quiet anymore. I need urgent life-saving surgeries. Please don’t scroll past. Share this post and support if you can.”

She stated that the total amount needed for all surgeries is N30,000,000 and directed well-wishers to contact her legal representative or management.

Nwosu also prayed that no one else would face the same affliction.

Her cry for help has drawn an outpouring of support from colleagues across Nollywood.

Abimbola Craig wrote:

“My baby, literally one of the strongest women I know.”

Comedienne Kiekie simply said:

“So sorry, mummy.”

Monalisa Chinda declared:

“No, God forbids it.”

Others including Yomi Fabiyi, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Jigan Babaoja, Toyosi Adesanya and BBNaija’s Alex Unusual sent messages of prayer and encouragement.

The veteran actress’s appeal has once again highlighted the financial struggles many Nigerian entertainers face when dealing with serious health challenges later in their careers. Fans and industry stakeholders have begun sharing the post widely in a bid to raise the needed funds for her life-saving procedures.
