Nollywood actress Mojisola Adebanjo has openly admitted her deep fear of marriage, citing failing unions, personal heartbreaks, and the pain of loyalty to unfaithful partners as major reasons holding her back.

In a raw and emotional segment on the Conversations With Kenni podcast hosted by Kehinde Ajose, Mojisola poured out her reservations about tying the knot in the entertainment industry.

“I’m very scared of marriage. Lots of marriages are failing these days and what I see on a daily basis on the internet discourages me. Also from personal experiences… Being loyal to someone who’s a cheat scares me.”

She did not spare Nigerian men in her honest assessment.

“I feel Nigerian men don’t know what they want and they’re not men of their words. They can convince you about something and change their minds the next minute. They don’t keep to their promises. They just want to eat their cake and have it.”

On whether or not she’d be okay with her partner liking ladies’ posts on social media, Mojisola drew a clear boundary:

“I wouldn’t have issues with it. It can only become an issue if we’re dating and he doesn’t interact with mine while he interacts with other women’s posts. If he does it with just one lady too, it’d raise suspicions.”

When asked what she looks for in a man, the actress emphasised ambition and financial independence over mere romance.

“Hard work. He shouldn’t be broke. He should have something doing because I’m also working… I can’t be with someone I am richer than, but if it’s a situation where my finances later grows, nobody will know. I won’t put it out there that I’m richer than my husband.”
