Nigerian music star Mr Eazi and his wife, actress Temi Otedola, have shared intimate details of their pregnancy journey, revealing they consulted nine different doctors in various countries while preparing for the arrival of their first child.

The couple, who got married in a private ceremony in Iceland in August 2025 and announced their pregnancy in May 2026 after discovering it during their honeymoon in Asia, opened up on their podcast The How Far Podcast.

Mr Eazi explained the extensive medical consultations were necessary due to uncertainty about the delivery location.

“Why exactly do we see nine doctors? Nine doctors because to give you options, not just that, because we didn’t know where we were going to be. Which country? We didn’t know which country we were going to decide on. I wanted Japan.”

The singer revealed he had seriously considered Japan for the birth and even began researching Japanese names for their child. Temi, however, playfully shut down the idea.

“By the way, he’s also been looking at Japanese names and I’m like no, absolutely not.”

The couple’s transparency about their thorough preparations has sparked widespread reactions online, with many praising their proactive approach while others highlighted the stark contrast in healthcare access available to high-profile couples versus ordinary Nigerians.

Mr Eazi and Temi’s love story, which culminated in marriage and now impending parenthood, continues to captivate fans. Their podcast episode offers a rare glimpse into the realities, anxieties, and careful planning behind what many perceive as a fairytale pregnancy journey.
