BBNaija star Angel Smith’s whirlwind same-sex marriage to Tumininu has officially crashed and burned, with Tumininu releasing a lengthy post that lays bare every detail of the rapid breakdown. In what she calls the final chapter of their short-lived union, the woman who sponsored Angel’s move to America reveals she covered all visa costs, provided full financial and domestic support for three months, and even rushed them into marriage to secure Angel’s legal stay — only to feel disrespected and used.

Tumininu, popularly known as Tummie, opened up with raw honesty, recounting how it all started:

“Before closing this chapter, here’s a full summary of what happened. I brought Angel to America and personally covered all the visa expenses. I was the one who asked her to move here.”

She stressed full transparency from the start, revealing her past relationship with an ex called Mally in advance.

“Before she arrived, I was honest about my past relationship with Mally and made sure she knew everything upfront.”

For the first three months, Tumininu claims she went above and beyond.

“For three months, I supported her completely — financially and at home. I cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day, trying to make her comfortable.”

Instead of building together, she alleges Angel repeatedly left her alone to meet people from a dating site.

“Instead of building a life together, she repeatedly left me at home to spend time with people she met on a dating site. She would go out with them, then come back and still expect financial support from me.”

Things escalated quickly. Tumininu says Angel’s behaviour grew reckless, nearly leading to an arrest, forcing her to involve Angel’s mother. They rushed into marriage for legal reasons amid the crisis. Angel also reportedly surrounded herself with “dangerous” company, including someone recently released from prison after eight years for robbery.

“At the same time, she surrounded herself with people I considered dangerous… This raised serious concerns for me.”

Despite multiple attempts to communicate and set boundaries, Tumininu says nothing changed.

“I tried multiple times to talk to her and set boundaries, but she refused to listen.”

Feeling used and disrespected — “like a maid in my own home” — she reached her limit.

“Eventually, I reached my limit and issued divorce papers. At this point, I am stepping away completely.”

Tumininu made several clarifications to shut down rumours: she did not take Angel’s belongings (some remain with her while others were moved to a friend’s place), Angel left her wedding ring behind, and she had tried to resolve everything privately, even apologising where needed.

The post marks Tumininu’s firm decision to close the book.

“I have done more than enough, and I will not allow someone to damage the life I built here… I am no longer responsible for anything that happens in her life.”

The dramatic marriage collapse which happened barely weeks after their March 27, 2026 US wedding has kept fans glued to every update in one of 2026’s messiest celebrity marriage scandals.
