Afrobeats superstar Wizkid has officially entered the fray following the physical altercation between his longtime DJ, DJ Tunez, and Burna Boy. In a viral post shared on his X account, the “Ojuelegba” hitmaker unleashed a scathing response that left no doubt about where his loyalties lie.
Wizkid did not hold back as he mocked the circumstances of the Monday night incident at Obi’s House in Lagos. Referring to reports that Burna Boy and his team outnumbered DJ Tunez during the confrontation, he wrote:
“Pussy nigga Jump a dj with 10man carry diddy towel Dey dance. I never see fool like this diddy babe for my life.”
The post quickly drew fans to the comments in a mix of shock, laughter, and support for the Starboy boss. Many saw the “diddy towel” reference as a pointed jab linking Burna Boy to Sean “Diddy” Combs — especially since Burna Boy posted a video of himself in a white towel after his altercation with DJ Tunez, and Diddy was executive producer of Burna Boy’s Twice As Tall album.
The feud traces back to the high-profile event hosted by nightlife king Obi Cubana. DJ Tunez, who has been Wizkid’s official disc jockey for years had already broken his silence on Tuesday night. In a series of posts, he accused Burna Boy of striking him from behind and described the attack as a weak man’s move.

The two giants of Afrobeats have maintained a respectful distance in recent years despite occasional online banter between their camps. Wizkid and Burna Boy represent two of the genre’s most influential figures, each with global followings and Grammy recognition. This latest chapter has now turned a private club incident into one of the most talked-about entertainment stories of 2026.
Several commentators noted that the rivalry between the two artists’ circles has simmered for years, occasionally flaring up over perceived slights or industry politics.
The entertainment industry continues to watch closely as the situation unfolds. Physical clashes between high-profile figures remain rare in Afrobeats, but when they happen, the social media fallout often overshadows the original event.
