In an Instagram story post, she dismissed the allegations as fabricated lies by bloggers and questioned whether her ex-husband was even aware of the statements being made in his name.
The claims circulating online suggested that Basketmouth is not the biological father of the children from their over-a-decade-long marriage. Elsie responded sharply, addressing the Facebook bloggers responsible for spreading the story.
“All you Facebook bloggers fabricating lies. Is Basketmouth aware he made that statement?? You can make up unimaginable stories about me, but please leave my kids out of this nonsense!”
Her reaction comes after the couple’s divorce was publicly announced by Basketmouth in 2023. In his statement at the time, the comedian confirmed the end of their marriage and appealed for privacy while assuring fans that he and Elsie would continue to co-parent their children peacefully. Since then, Elsie has focused on rebuilding her life, frequently sharing advice for women navigating divorce or breakups. She has encouraged others to “smile again and be happy,” assuring them they would overcome their challenges.
Elsie’s statement suggests she believes the claims are being falsely attributed to Basketmouth or exaggerated by online sources.
