Reality TV star Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has sparked online debate after she was denied entry into Imisi’s birthday party.
The incident reportedly happened on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, and videos from the scene show the former BBNaija winner visibly upset at the entrance of the event.
According to Phyna, she was stopped by security because she refused to stop livestreaming as she approached the venue. Organizers allegedly asked her to put away her camera before entering, a request she strongly disagreed with.
Clearly frustrated, Phyna questioned why she appeared to be the only one facing such restrictions.
In a now-viral clip, she asked:
“If na Speed or Peller come here, you go tell them to drop camera?”
She argued that the rule felt selective and unfair, especially as a public figure known for engaging her fans through live videos.
Security personnel at the venue reportedly maintained that filming was not allowed inside the party. However, Phyna felt embarrassed by how the situation was handled and insisted her presence was only to celebrate Imisi, not to cause issues.
The moment has since sparked heated reactions online. While some social media users believe event organisers have the right to enforce privacy rules, others sided with Phyna, saying the situation could have been handled more respectfully.
