Gospel singer Toluwanisings passed away in the early hours of October 14, 2026. His family confirmed the news and urged the public to keep his wife, family, and loved ones in prayer.
Among those hit hardest by the loss is actor and content creator Woli Agba, who has written a deeply personal tribute addressed to the late singer’s widow, describing a moment that left him completely speechless.
He revealed that when he came face to face with the grieving widow, she asked him a question he simply could not answer.
“And she asked, ‘Where is my husband?’ I can’t forget this moment; a simple question found no answer in me. Words failed me. I couldn’t even find a Bible verse that seemed relevant to the moment. I stuttered and stammered because what seemed like a simple question suddenly became the most difficult question to answer,” he wrote.
Woli shared that the widow’s last memory of her husband was the two of them preparing to take their daughter to school, a detail that made the grief feel even more unbearable.
“How do we help her embrace a reality so painful that the heart may naturally want to reject it? How do we help her understand that the man she fondly described as her passionate friend and father is no longer coming home to her?” he wrote.
He also looked ahead at the silent battles she would face alone.
“I keep praying for her because I know that beyond the tears people see, there are battles she will have to fight in the silence of her own heart. There will be moments when memories become overwhelming, when familiar places tell painful stories, and when the absence of the man she loves becomes almost unbearable.”
He called for sustained support beyond the immediate mourning.
“She needs people who will not only mourn with her today but will also stand beside her when the crowd goes home, and the reality of her loss begins to settle in.”
He closed the tribute with a farewell to his late friend.
“Sing with the angels, bro.”
Woli described Toluwanisings as an angel and a unique voice whose passing was a painful, heartbreaking loss for everyone who knew him.
The late singer, who hailed from Ikirun, Osun State, had survived a serious road accident alongside his band, an escape he publicly described as miraculous. Three months later, he was gone.
