Lagos-based gospel minister TheWineserver has released a new live single, Idi Ebube Eze (Live), with the official video now streaming on digital streaming platforms.
The title is Igbo for “The Glorious King.” TheWineserver, formerly known as Tomide, recorded the song live with a full band and worship team. The track mixes soulful vocals with African Afro-worship instrumentation and is built as a declaration of God’s majesty, kingship and supremacy. The live video is meant to feel groovy and godly at once, pushing listeners into joyful movement as they praise.
Speaking on the release, the minister said the song came from a place of awe.
“This sound (Wine) came from a place of awe. No matter what we face, who we are, Jesus remains on the Throne of Glory and has promised never to leave nor forsake us helping to direct our paths. ‘Idi Ebube Eze’ (live) is my heart rejoicing that He alone deserves all Honour, Power and Glory Forever.”
He calls his Christ-centered songs “Wines.” After releasing five records under the name Tomide, he said the Holy Spirit directed a name change to TheWineserver. He has since dropped a five-track EP under the new name, plus a video explaining the rebrand.
Last month he launched a quarterly worship gathering tagged W.I.S.A.T, Worship in Spirit and Truth. He continues to minister in churches, concerts and online, with a stated mandate to lead people into God’s presence without distraction.
