Nollywood icons and prominent figures gathered in heavy mourning on Thursday, June 18, 2026, as they laid the late actor Alexx Ekubo to rest in his hometown of Arochukwu, Abia State.
The 40-year-old talented actor, who passed away on May 11, 2026, after a private battle with metastatic kidney cancer, was finally interred at his family house following an emotional funeral service and reception held at the Mary Slessor School Field in Amanagwu Village.
