Popular gospel singer Judikay has moved many to tears after sharing the frightening medical scare she faced during her second pregnancy, revealing how doctors delivered devastating news that her unborn baby had no nose and was not breathing.
The anointed worship leader, whose real name is Judith Kanayo-Oparam, opened up during her baby dedication service in church. She and her husband welcomed their second child a few months ago after years of waiting following previous pregnancy losses.
Judikay travelled to Canada at 34 weeks pregnant for delivery. During a routine scan, the sonographer delivered the shocking report. Judikay recounted, saying
:“At 34 weeks, I traveled to Canada to have my baby, and I went for a scan. They said she did not have a nose and that I would need to do a Down syndrome test, and also that she was not breathing.”
In that moment of fear, the singer called her husband, who responded with strong faith. He instructed her to tear the report, and together they began to praise God and give thanks for their child instead of accepting the negative medical verdict.
The challenges did not end there. When it was time for delivery, Judikay revealed that her daughter had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck twice while still in the womb. Despite these complications, mother and baby came out victorious and healthy.
Her powerful testimony has touched thousands online, with many praising God for turning what seemed like a hopeless situation into a beautiful miracle. Fans celebrated the safe arrival of the baby and the singer’s strength through the ordeal.
Judikay’s story adds to her history of sharing faith-filled testimonies, having previously spoken about other pregnancy losses. Her latest revelation highlights the emotional and spiritual battles many women face during pregnancy and the power of faith and spousal support in overcoming fear.
