Controversial influencer Verydarkman has publicly expressed disappointment following the viral WhatsApp exchange allegedly involving the Ooni of Ife and content creator King Mitchy.
The reaction comes after King Mitchy shared what she described as screenshots showing the revered monarch messaging her and placing several missed calls, a revelation that quickly stirred debate across social media.
The situation escalated after King Mitchy challenged Verydarkman to channel NGO funds donated by Nigerians into school renovation projects, similar to what she claimed to have done herself.
Shortly after, the alleged chat with the Ooni surfaced online and that was what triggered Verydarkman’s sharp response.
Taking to Instagram, the activist analysed the exchange and questioned the tone of communication between the monarch and the content creator, suggesting that the interaction appeared too casual for someone of such traditional status.
In a strongly worded reaction, Verydarkman expressed shock at what he perceived as a lack of reverence.
“I just dey think am now. If I see Ooni of Ife, I will now bow down to greet him. Meanwhile, him dey bow to Mitchy for WhatsApp. Abi na because say ‘King’ dey her name. But na Instagram throne she get now.”
He continued:
“A whole Ooni of Ife. I’m disappointed. See missed calls, and him dey even remind her. See as she commonize am say na ‘even this king’. I’ve seen it all. She can never regard me.”
The influencer ended his commentary with a pointed remark referencing the Alaafin of Oyo, saying:
“Abi make I put King president of Ratel. Shout out to the Alaafin of Oyo.”
