Nightlife promoter Yhemolee has stirred fresh debate online after reacting to the ongoing controversy surrounding TikToker Mirabel and public conversations about rape allegations.
In a social media post on Thursday, Yhemolee made his stance clear.
“False ra.pe accusation is as evil as ra.pe itself. As we continue to protect our women from abusers, we should also protect our men from accusers. It’s mentally draining and exhausting for men to go through such.”
His comment came after Mirabel shared a viral video claiming she was sexually assaulted at her residence on February 15. The video quickly sparked widespread reactions online and fueled the #StopRapingWomen campaign, with many users calling for justice and stronger protection for survivors.
Authorities also became involved. The Lagos Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency confirmed she had been discharged from hospital and that information was passed to officials in Ogun State for investigation.
Meanwhile, the Ogun State Police Command opened an inquiry into the matter. Social media reports later suggested inconsistencies in her account, including claims she declined medical and forensic examinations and may have provided false information.
Police, however, denied arresting her, stating she voluntarily visited the station and was taken to hospital because she was not stable enough for a formal interview.
As the investigation continues, the case has remained a major talking point online, with strong opinions emerging about justice for survivors, the impact of allegations, and the wider conversation around accountability.
