Nollywood actress Bolaji Ogunmola has reacted strongly to a fan who criticized her kissing scenes with actor Daniel Etim Effiong in her movie The Bloom After.
The fan, identified as @helpmate150 on X, warned the actress to “tone it down,” suggesting that repeated kissing scenes could lead to real-life feelings. The user also referenced the controversial relationship between Yul Edochie and Judy Austin as a cautionary example.
“To be honest, you and Daniel kissing movies is too much and it’s looking like you guys are an item,” the fan wrote. “Why didn’t you kiss the first guy, Anthony, in your new movie? Feelings can develop. You guys should tune it down.”
Bolaji Ogunmola, however, did not hold back in her response.
“You are an absolute retard!! You watched to tweet stupidity and it shows,” she replied. “What is the entire film about, you nitwit!! You want to reduce my entire work to kissing.”
The actress went further to shut down rumours of any off-screen relationship with Daniel Etim.
“What foolish item. We don’t even talk outside of work!” she added.
Her response has since sparked mixed reactions online, with some defending her passion for her craft, while others criticized her choice of words. Still, many fans applauded her for drawing a clear line between acting and real life.
