2021 Prophecy To Omije Ojumi Resurfaces After Death

A 2021 message addressed to late gospel singer Bunmi Akinnaanu, widely known as Omije Ojumi, has resurfaced online after her passing, igniting widespread reactions and discussions across social media platforms.

The message, which some have described as a prophecy, was reportedly sent to the singer by a man who claimed he received a disturbing vision and felt compelled to warn her to pray against danger.

In the message, the sender wrote:

“Hello ma, this might sound absurd, you don’t know me, nor have I also seen you one on one physically before, but I am just a child of God like you. Mum, in a vision of the night I heard some words in Yoruba, like ‘ti o ba tun raiye wa, (if you can come to this world again, you won’t be doing anyhow to them).’ So very frightening. Very frightened, I asked, is she dead? Somebody answered me, ‘Is this not her baby or something? We have killed her.’” The man, however, added that he did not believe the vision would come to pass if prayers were offered. “Ma, I know nothing bad will happen to you, but still something like this requires prayers. I know you are a prayer warrior, kindly pray ma… I have raised prayer altars for you, and I believe the vision will not come to pass, if only we will pray.”

Screenshots circulating online also showed what was described as Omije Ojumi’s response to the message at the time, in which she reportedly criticised and dismissed it.

Following her death, the resurfacing of the message has divided opinions online, with some users expressing shock, while others cautioned against drawing conclusions or turning the singer’s passing into speculation.
