Legendary Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face or 2Baba, has made a surprising and candid confession about his personal life.
The Afrobeats icon, who has long been in the spotlight for having children with multiple partners, revealed that he has put an end to impregnating women indiscriminately.
2Baba made the statement in Benin City during the MC EdoPikin Undiluted with StarBoy and Legends show, moments before taking the stage to perform.
Addressing the crowd, the singer said he felt compelled to “set the record straight” wherever he goes.
“But see, I get confession. I dey make this confession everywhere I go now to set the record straight. I don stop to dey do that kind of thing, I don stop to dey give belle anyhow. I swear, ask anybody now, they will tell you that I’m innocent,” he said.
The comment immediately sparked reactions online, with many fans interpreting it as a moment of self-reflection from one of Nigeria’s most celebrated music legends.
2Baba’s personal life has remained a subject of public conversation for years.
His first known baby mama, Sumbo Adeoye, welcomed two sons; Zion and Nino, with him before their relationship ended around 2009.
He also shares three children with Pero Adeniyi, born between 2006 and 2012.
The singer was later married to actress Annie Macaulay-Idibia, with whom he had two daughters. Their union officially ended in 2025 after years of public ups and downs.
