Nigerian music legend 2Baba has publicly appealed to Nigerians to forgive him and his family after weeks of intense headlines surrounding his marriage to Edo lawmaker, Natasha Osawaru.
The singer, who performed at an event over the weekend, paused mid-performance to address the audience. In a video now circulating online, 2Baba speaks with a tone of humility and exhaustion, saying:
“Abeg make una no vex again. Make una forgive me and my family.”
The apology comes after a turbulent month marked by viral clips, online backlash, and multiple allegations surrounding his relationship with Natasha.
Just last month, social media erupted after videos emerged allegedly showing 2Baba being arrested in the UK with handcuffs on, reportedly following a heated altercation with Natasha. Though the footage sparked outrage, confusion, and a wave of speculations, the singer maintained that reports of his arrest were exaggerated.
Back in October, rumours circulated that the singer and his then-pregnant wife had fought abroad and that police intervened, a claim 2Baba publicly denied at the time.
But the tension escalated again during a live broadcast with media personality Daddy Freeze, where a former staff member, Kaka, alleged that Natasha frequently hindered the singer’s career growth and exerted psychological control over him.
Kaka said on the live session that Natasha had “constantly disrupted his work and mentally drained him”; claims that immediately went viral.
Surprisingly, 2Baba joined the livestream to address the situation, only for the couple to fall into a heated argument right there in front of thousands of viewers. The singer abruptly exited the Live, further deepening the concerns of fans and family members.
As the online drama intensified, two of 2Baba’s brothers; Hyacinth and Charles Idibia had publicly expressed worry.
The accusations stirred deep conversations across social media, with many Nigerians weighing in on the singer’s wellbeing and marriage.
With his latest public plea, 2Baba appears to be seeking a fresh start, hoping Nigerians will ease the pressure on him as he navigates both fatherhood and marriage under the spotlight.
