Fresh drama is unfolding around popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels’ family, following reports that her brother, Sammy West, has been taken to Abuja to appear before the Karu Magistrate Court.
According to Nigerian filmmaker Stanley Ontop, the move is allegedly to obtain a remand order that could see Sammy kept in Keffi Prison, located in Nasarawa State.
Taking to his Instagram page, Stanley Ontop shared his concern, writing:
“Regina Daniels’ brother, Sammy West, has been taken to Abuja to appear before the Karu Magistrate Court. They want to secure a remand order to keep him in Keffi prison. Sammy West is being taken to Karu Magistrate Court in Abuja as we speak. They want to get a remand order to keep him in Keffi’s dangerous prison in Nasarawa State.”
The filmmaker didn’t stop there, expressing frustration over what he described as the misuse of power.
“Make men mount the court oo. How I wish I dey ABJ, I go just mount that court and una go carry me join… because I will make noise aloud!!! Epa, you should be ashamed of yourself for using taxpayers’ money to fight your constituent. Free Sammy now!!!”
Stanley’s post quickly gained traction online, with fans and observers flooding social media with mixed reactions. A user @olayimartha commented, “I knew he’s gon use his position to oppress them. This is so sad!!!” Another, @jisolabrandboss, added, “Is it by force to marry?”
Similarly, @onyinye_joy3030 questioned the situation, saying, “Nawa ooo, so grandpa wants to take his granddaughter back to his house by force?” while @ebbiddo_beauti added, “It’s Regina that’s delaying. She should reveal every secret she has.”
As of press time, neither Senator Ned Nwoko nor the Daniels family has issued an official statement regarding the allegations. However, the development has once again brought public attention to the strained relationship between both families.
