Ned Nwoko Says Every Man Should Marry More Than One Wife — Solomon Buchi Strongly Disagrees

Life coach Solomon Buchi has publicly disagreed with Senator Ned Nwoko over his recent comments encouraging polygamy, calling the practice “backwards and destructive.”

The disagreement began after Nwoko, who represents Delta North Senatorial District and is known for his polygamous lifestyle, boldly stated during a Channels Television interview that “every man should marry more than one wife.”

When asked how he manages to live with four wives, Nwoko gave an analogy that immediately stirred controversy.

“I’m sure you have a wife and you also have girlfriends,” he told the interviewer. “Just imagine me telling you to stand on one leg… you know how difficult that is. But to stand on two, three, four legs is much more balanced. That’s the example.” He added jokingly, “I feel sorry for those who have only one wife because it’s difficult to stand on one leg.”

Pressed on whether his beliefs align with the Bible, the senator countered:

“The Old Testament does, and I am a man of the Old Testament and also a man of faith.” when asked if he would make the same choice again, Nwoko replied confidently, “Of course, yes. I’ll do the same thing again and again.”

The senator, who is married to popular actress Regina Daniels, also brushed off allegations of domestic violence.

“No, come on. I’m not a violent person. I respect my wives, I love them, and I love my kids. So, no, not at all,” he said.

However, Solomon Buchi, known for his outspoken views on faith and relationships, took to social media to counter Nwoko’s statement. In his post, he wrote:

“Polygamy is very backwards and destructive to every society. Check history.”

Buchi’s post quickly drew mixed reactions from fans.

One user, @alamsfel, wrote, “Polygamy is terrible, you don’t even need Solomon to tell you that.” Another, @alvinakata, countered, “Poor man wey no get money go talk say polygamy is bad.” @madrinaseth added, “Monogamy has sent more men to early grave than polygamy would.”

While @babz.002 fired back at Buchi saying, “If you truly check history, you should read about your name.” And @heartrebelx commented, “Here comes the guy that feels like he understands everything.”

The debate continues to generate buzz online, with many Nigerians weighing in on whether polygamy should be embraced as tradition or seen as an outdated practice.
