Nigerian investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo has given fresh insight into the ongoing drama surrounding Regina Daniels and her billionaire husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, following reports of alleged domestic violence in their marriage.
Days after a viral video showed the actress in the midst of men while her brother, Sammy Daniels, confronted alleged thugs said to have been sent by her husband, Kemi Olunloyo took to Instagram to share what she described as Ned Nwoko’s version of events.
According to Olunloyo, she personally spoke with the Delta North senator, who denied ever assaulting his wife, insisting he was not even present during the alleged incident.
“Senator Ned Nwoko told me he was not home on Friday when Regina started destroying cars and windows in the house. He travelled to Warri. Munir, aka Moon, had a slight fever with a temperature up. Regina, being impaired and incoherent, refused to allow the home nurse to attend to Munir, their older son”, Kemi wrote.
She further quoted Ned as claiming that Regina became violent and physically attacked domestic staff.
“He said that Gina slapped two nannies and her own driver. He then told me his driver had to return from Delta to take Moon to the hospital. He said he wasn’t at home when Regina’s brother, Sammy, and company came to fight in his house”, Kemi alleged.
The journalist went on to claim that Ned accused Regina of battling substance abuse, which he believes is affecting her behaviour and their marriage.
“Senator Ned is angry with Regina for what she is doing with substance abuse. He wants the best for her, and she should think about the children. She thinks that these drugs make her happy, and yet, they are ruining her life without her realising it”, Kemi added.
Olunloyo also alleged that Ned expressed concern over the influence of some of Regina’s friends, whom he claims are manipulating her emotions and fueling the tension in their home.
“Ned told me that even her friends are playing with her mind. He said he wants to be by her side knowing that she has worn him out, but this is marriage after all. He said if she continues to do the same thing, she has to go to the hospital to receive treatment. Even if she does not want to, she has to go”, she continued.
In one of the more shocking claims, Kemi Olunloyo stated that Ned told her Regina once filmed him in the bathroom while he was about to urinate, allegedly under the influence at the time.
“Ned said Gina was filming him in the bathroom while he was about to urinate in the morning and didn’t know what she was thinking, and felt she was high on substances”, she alleged.
While Ned Nwoko has yet to publicly issue an official statement, Kemi Olunloyo’s revelations have stirred new conversations online.
