Adekunle Gold Honoured With Street Named After Him in Lagos — “The City That Raised Me Now Carries My Name”

Nigerian music star Adekunle Gold has achieved yet another milestone — this time, one that permanently cements his legacy in the city that raised him.

The singer, who recently released his new album “FUJI“, took to Instagram to share a video of himself, his wife Simi, and their daughter Deja, unveiling a street named after his biological name, Adekunle Kosoko Street.

In the emotional video, the family could be seen smiling and basking in the moment as they were unveiling the street sign with his name, while using one of his songs, “My Love Is The Same“, as soundtrack on Instagram.

“Adekunle Kosoko Street. The city that raised me now carries my name. Thank you Lord for my many blessings”, he captioned.

The post quickly sparked waves of celebration across social media, with fans and fellow celebrities pouring in their congratulatory messages.

Comedian Broda Shaggi, actress Wumi Toriola, media personality Adesope Olajide, and rapper Wale Turner were among those who hailed the singer’s latest achievement.
