The Lagos State government has stirred reactions online after appointing controversial content creator, Mandy Kiss, as an ambassador for its anti-drug campaign.
During the unveiling, the Lagos commissioner defended the choice, stressing that “nobody is perfect.”
According to him, the appointment is not about judging Mandy’s past, but about inspiring young people to make better choices going forward.
The announcement has since gone viral due to Mandy Kiss’s past antics, including her infamous declaration of attempting to sleep with 100 men in a single day; a statement that once made headlines across social media.
While the commissioner described the campaign as a step towards “using influencers who connect with the youth to spread awareness“, the appointment has left many Nigerians divided.
On Instagram, fans expressed a mix of shock and humour. @demii89 wrote: “If them explain this country give you and you understand, them fit sell sugar cane give you as cassava.”
@maratious added: “Werey la fin wo werey😀.” @olagrace quipped: “What a hilarious way to start the new month.” @calabarclown asked sarcastically: “😂 Wetin she wear so now?”
For many, the development reflects Nigeria’s often unpredictable mix of morality, governance, and entertainment.
Still, Mandy Kiss herself appears unfazed, embracing the new role as a chance to rebrand and reach younger audiences with a different message.
