Nigerian Afrobeats star Spyro has officially released his much-anticipated debut album, The Men, The Boys and Your Guy, and the project is already sparking massive conversations across social media.
The album, which boasts 19 tracks and features collaborations with icons like 2Baba, Faze, M.I Abaga, and the late Sound Sultan, is being hailed by fans and industry heavyweights as one of the strongest bodies of work this year.
Twitter user @first_alphas captured the excitement, writing: “Spyro just dropped one of the best albums of this year.”
Another fan, @jocular_solo, highlighted the album’s viral potential: “Spyro knows how to make TikTok songs. 50% of the songs in his new album will trend on TikTok within the next few days and weeks. Especially that last track, sure me die.”
Influencer Abazz praised the collaborations, noting the legendary chemistry between 2Baba and Faze: “2Baba and Faze showed that they are still Plantashun Boiz and they still have it. And Sound Sultan, even though he isn’t here anymore, his music still lives on with this Spyro’s Album. And I can’t even get over what M.I did on ‘Para’ with Spyro! This album was what I needed.”
Public Relations Strategist Basito echoed the sentiment, particularly about the standout collaboration with M.I: “Spyro’s new album is a masterpiece but you see track with M.I stands out. What a song 🔥.”
Meanwhile, Joey Akan, music journalist and founder of Afrobeats Intelligence, praised the project’s visual execution, saying: “Spyro’s cover art, The Men, The Boys & Your Guy, is the hardest image I’ve seen today. Brilliant execution!”
With an impressive mix of legendary features, trending-ready tracks, and a carefully crafted concept, Spyro’s debut is not only positioning him as one of Afrobeats’ most exciting voices but also setting the stage for a global takeover.
