Adekunle Gold has given fans his most personal update yet, sharing an emotional newsletter titled “The Story I’ve Waited 5 Years to Tell.”
The singer revealed that his forthcoming album, Fuji, set for release on October 3, 2025, is more than music — it is his legacy, his childhood, and his story.
Gold traced his journey from 2019 to now, reflecting on life-changing moments: getting married, losing his father, and welcoming his daughter Adejare.
“I’ve lost and I’ve won… but my biggest life changes happened within a single year,” he wrote.
According to him, Fuji shaped his Lagos childhood and family history, and now he is ready to carry it into the present and future.
He described the project as “Kosoko Music”, a bridge between his roots and his evolution, blending grit, survival, and storytelling.
Fans are already buzzing about what he calls his most defining body of work yet:
“When you listen to this album, I hope you see your own story in mine… I want this album to remind you that you too are a Big Fish.”
