Filmmaker Niyi Akinmolayan faults Don Jazzy over his signees’ pattern of songs
Niyi Akinmolayan, a Nigerian filmmaker, director, and media consultant, has queried Michael Collins Ajereh, better known as Don Jazzy, the CEO of Mavins Records and a record producer.
The director questioned why the Mavins boss’ artists consistently use the same song structure.
Niyi observed that his signees frequently sing about having sexual relations, which somehow makes him feel.
He tweeted,
“This thing where Don Jazzy gets young artists and list of the song is about sex and sex makes me feel somehow sha. I don’t know. It’s all sex sex sex. Sometimes I can tell they don’t even know what they are singing about. But what do I know. The music industry is rich as u say”.
This comes just days after Don Jazzy ‘activated’ a new talent simply known as Bayanni.
The young talent was introduced to the Nigerian music scene through the platform of the music producer.
Don Jazzy announced on his verified Instagram account that the aspiring musician had graduated from the Mavin Academy and was now ready to wow the world with his talent.
Don Baba J as he fondly called welcomed his new artist to the music industry in a skit with award-winning skit creators Mr Funny aka Sabinus and Brainjotter.
Taking to his caption section, Don Jazzy wrote, “It’s that time again when we bring to you another young talent from the Mavin Academy. Meet BAYANNI. He has gone through a series of defining moments and is ready to be unveiled to the world.”
