Reactions trail Funke Akindele’s response to JJC Skillz’s birthday message amid marital crisis

Popular Nigerian actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has responded to a birthday message that her estranged husband and singer Abdulrasheed Bello, aka JJC Skillz, wrote to her on her special day.

The mother of two turned 45 yesterday, and her photo shoot has been turning up the heat on social media.

Her husband surprised her on social media with a video collage of his favourite images of the actress and their twin boys, complete with a love song playing in the background.

Funke responded to the birthday message by thanking the sender in the Instagram post’s comment section.

She wrote;

“Thank you so much baba ibeji. I appreciate it o. Amen to your prayers”

The pair tied the knot in London in 2016 and welcomed a set of twin boys in 2018.

But in June 2022, JJC Skillz announced his separation from Akindele over “irreconcilable differences”.
