Oladip’s obituary post deleted as rapper vibes to song from latest album in new video
The obituary post on the Instagram account of rapper Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji popularly known as Oladips has been deleted
A check on the rapper’s Instagram account on Thursday revealed that the post is no longer visible to the public.
However, a new video, showing Oladips vibing to one of the tracks from his recently released album Superhero Augbo was posted on his Instagram story.
The video was captioned: “Proof of life.”
Oladips’ management announced his death in a brief statement shared on the rapper’s Instagram post on November 15.
According to the statement, the 28-year-old who died on Tuesday “kept battles within himself” for the past two years.
The management also said that his body is with his family and the funeral service will be announced soon.
The statement read: “We are saddened to inform the general public that Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji aka 0LADIPS has passed away yesterday Nov 14th Tuesday evening, at exactly 10:14 pm. We are still in shock as we speak!
“For over 2 years he has kept his battles within himself, his body is now with his family & funeral services will be announced as soon as it is concluded! The family asked that we respect their privacy in this trying time. May God give us all the fortitude to bear this great loss. (amen).- Management.”
The death of the Oladips soon became a subject of discussion after many, including his friend and fellow rapper Qdot claimed he is still alive.
Qdot shared a picture of the rapper on Instagram with the caption: “My gee is still alive.”
The controversy heated up a few days later as others opined that the rapper faked his death to promote his new album.
