Wizkid’s family announces funeral plans for mum

The family of Afrobeat singer Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has announced funeral arrangement for their mother.

Juliana Balogun nee Oshineye Dawodu Olowosago died on August 18.

The wake and tributes will hold on Thursday, October 12 at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, and Casino, 6-8 Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos between 5-7pm.

The funeral service takes place on Friday, October 13 at RCCG City of David COD Church Road, Dideolu Estate, off, Ligali Ayorinde St, Victoria Island, Lagos. at 10am.

Born on July 26, 1990, in Surulere, Lagos, Wizkid grew up in a polygamous home with a Muslim father and a Christian mother. His father married three wives.

Wizkid’s mother was a familiar sight at most of his concerts and events.

She was born on July 14, 1957 and is survived by her husband, M.O Balogun, and four children, namely Yetunde Balogun, Omolara Osunkoya, Olubusayo Balogun, Ayodeji Balogun (Wizkid) and many grandchildren.
