Davido’s ‘Timeless’ gets one million streams in six hours

Davido’s long-awaited album, ‘Timeless,’ amassed one million streams on Boomplay in just six hours after it was released on the streaming platform on Friday.

The album is also currently No. 1 on the Nigerian Top Albums Chart, the UK Top Albums Chart, and in 17 other countries on Apple Music.

In the early hours of Friday, Davido announced the release of the 17-track album on his social media pages.

He talked about the process he went through from his previous album to the latest and also gave Chioma Rowland, his wife, a shout-out while appreciating his fans and people who ensured the completion of the project.

“At long last – WE are back. The journey from my last album to this album has been a whirlwind to say the least,” Davido wrote on Twitter.

Singles from the ‘Timeless’ album also topped Sierra Leone’s Apple Music Songs Chart, from number 1 to 17.
