“Nigeria’s Future Doesn’t Look Bright!” — Boma  Akpore Warns

BBNaija star and actor Boma Akpore has warned that Nigeria’s future looks dim and that the country needs real change ahead of the 2027 elections.

Speaking in an interview with TheCable Lifestyle, Akpore said the nation is heading in the wrong direction and that ordinary people are paying the price. He stressed that his concern is not personal. He is fine, he said, but he is speaking for everyone else.

“I just want us to do the right thing, and currently we are not doing the right thing. It just looks really bad, and I am not talking for myself; I am fine, but I am talking for all of us. I know how much I give out every day; people think that I have a tree of cash in my house,” he said.

Akpore, who rose to prominence on BBNaija, said he grew up in poverty and still feels the weight of other people’s struggles. He described himself as an empath who does a lot of private giveaways that never make it to social media.

“I do a lot of giveaways personally that are not being posted; I just feel bad. I am an empath even though people might not believe that from how I look, what they see. I am an empath; I feel people’s pains and put myself in their shoes because I came from lack, and I do not like people feeling that way,” he explained.

He then turned to the bigger picture.

“So I see where and how we are; we do not know where we are going. The future does not look bright at all; there needs to be a change.”

Akpore’s comments land as political conversations around the 2027 general elections intensify. He did not name any candidate or party. Instead he focused on the direction of the country and the need for better decisions at the ballot. His remarks add another voice from the entertainment space to the growing public anxiety about hardship, direction, and what the next election might mean for ordinary Nigerians.
