Former Big Brother Naija housemate Kiddwaya has dismissed a viral video that appears to show him in a swimming pool with an unidentified woman, calling the clip a fake AI creation and warning those behind it that his lawyers are watching.
The short clip began circulating on social media on Thursday, October 30, 2026, with posts describing Kiddwaya dancing closely with a mystery lady in the water. Some accounts shared it as genuine footage, while others quickly questioned its authenticity. Reactions ranged from amusement to speculation about his personal life.
On Saturday morning, Kiddwaya addressed the clip directly on his verified X account.
“This is so fake Haha. I don’t usually address these things online but I have to address this FAKE Ai video of me circulating,” he wrote.
He continued with a clear warning.
“If you are going to steal my identity then do it properly. I take this matter seriously, my lawyers are watching very carefully. Kirikiri prison direct.”
The woman in the clip remains unidentified. No credible report has confirmed her identity, and Kiddwaya did not name her or engage further with theories about the content. The original source of the video is also unclear, though some users had already labelled it AI-generated before his response.
Kiddwaya, the son of billionaire Terry Waya, rose to wider fame during the 2020 Lockdown season of Big Brother Naija. He has remained active online and in media appearances in the years since, often speaking about lifestyle, dating preferences, and public perception. The pool video is the latest example of AI tools being used to create realistic-looking celebrity clips that spread faster than they can be fact-checked.
