Nigerian TikTok couple Jarvis and Peller are locked in a fresh public fight over family boundaries, with the content creator insisting her husband has no responsibility for her relatives and that she will not allow them to reach him.
In a video that circulated on October 23 and 24, 2026, Jarvis was direct.
“My husband is not responsible for my family; God forbid, I’ll never let that kind of thing happen. Which is why I don’t even allow any of my family members to talk to my husband or even call or even disturb,” she said.
She added that even her grandmother only gets a simple greeting from Peller when he is nearby, and that since marrying she has scaled back what she does for her own people.
“Even my own family know that ever since I got married, it’s my own family that I’m more concerned about, because I’m a married woman; I only do little for them, I don’t kill myself anymore.”
She clarified that a phone for her younger sister, Divine, was her own request while she was outside Nigeria, not a demand placed on Peller. As far as Jarvis is concerned, his duties stop with her and their unborn baby.
The clarification followed a heated livestream clash over Divine. Peller had argued that he and Jarvis were effectively parents to the sister, that he should guide her streaming career, and that they might even help choose her husband. She reminded him the sister already has a father, is an adult over 18, and will decide whom she marries. She later told him to focus on their own child.
Peller continued the argument on his channels. He said Jarvis’ sister refused to greet him even while living in his house, that he has never allowed his own father, mother or brother to stay overnight but permitted her sister to do so, and that Jarvis blocked him on TikTok. In other messages he claimed she called him a boy, said he and the sister were age mates, and threatened that he would not join her in Canada.
“Call your sister to come and meet you in Canada because I’m no longer coming,” he wrote in one post.
Jarvis later addressed critics who told her to show more respect.
“I don’t know why you people are teaching me what respect is. Can you people stop all this respect, respect? I don’t have. It’s not there. Women were reflection of whatever is given to us. Whatever you show, that’s what we reflect back,” she said.
She also asked people to leave Divine alone, noting that her sister had tried livestreaming with her but later stepped away because it was not her interest.
“Please, please do not stress my sister, okay? You people can stress me, but don’t stress her.”
The couple, who formalised their union earlier in 2026 through court, traditional and white ceremonies, announced their pregnancy in early October and said they were expecting a girl. They had also relocated to Canada, where Jarvis enrolled in a master’s programme. The latest exchanges have revived questions about how publicly they handle private family matters.
