Nigerian singer Zlatan Ibile’s fiancée, Davita, has opened up about the shy start to their relationship in a wedding documentary teaser, saying the rapper was too nervous to approach her himself when they first met.
In the clip shared widely on social media, Davita recalled the early days with a smile.
“To get my number, he asked somebody,” she said. “He is very shy. People will not believe him,” she added, as Zlatan laughed and covered his face beside her.
The moment comes as the couple count down to their public wedding celebration scheduled for October 24, 2026. They announced the date earlier this month in a pre-wedding video that included a voiceover from their eldest son.

Zlatan, whose real name is Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, and Davita have been together for years and share two sons, Shiloh and Benaiah.
Zlatan also spoke in the teaser about why he knew she was the one. He described her as “too perfect” and said meeting her completed the story he believed God was writing in his life.
“She was the final thing that I saw that I knew that that story that said God was writing,” he explained.
The short film included lighter moments as well. In a couple quiz, Davita pointed to Zlatan when asked who spends more money, while both pointed at each other when the question was who is more stubborn. The clip closed with the couple praying together:
“May we always find our way back to you and to each other, in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
Davita’s revelation about Zlatan’s shyness has already drawn reactions online, with many surprised that the confident street-hop star needed help just to get a phone number.
