“BBNaija House Traumatized Me!” — Nomy Opens Up on Show Exit

Disqualified Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Whitney Chukwu, known as Nomy, has broken her silence on the With Chude podcast, describing her time in the Show Ya Sef house as traumatic and insisting she does not know popular content creators Peller and GehGeh.

Speaking with Chude Jideonwo, Nomy pushed back against the way her exit has been framed. She said the experience inside the house left a mark.

“Yes, it traumatized me,” she told the host.

She also argued that the usual path to removal involves three strikes, yet she left after one.

“This is the first time in their history that an housemate has been revoked. What they disqualified the former disqualified housemates is not the same things as me,” she said.

Reports from early September confirm Big Brother removed her on September 7 after repeated defiance linked to a benchwarmer punishment, including leaving her assigned bench and vest. She had received an earlier strike described as a final warning. Organisers gave her 30 minutes to pack and leave, stating her privilege to stay in the game had been revoked.

When the conversation turned to TikTok streamer Peller and financial commentator GehGeh, Nomy showed no recognition. Asked who they were, she replied, “Who are those? I don’t know them.” Chude introduced Peller as a national icon and GehGeh as a national lecturer, but she remained unmoved.

Nomy also explained the mindset she carried into the house.

“I wasn’t necessarily there to make friends. I went with the mindset to win or to be a finalist. I was in enemy territory,” she said.

On the likelihood that viewers will remember her as the season’s villain, she did not dispute the label.

“And even with being a villain, I’m still the main character so I’ll take it.”

On a more personal note, she spoke briefly about family. She lost her mother at a young age and said she has no relationship with her father.

“I don’t feel a need to look for my father because I think it’s a disservice to my mom to be looking for who’s not looking for me,” she explained.

Clips from the interview spread quickly on social media, drawing divided reactions. Some users praised her refusal to soften her stance, while others argued she brought the outcome on herself or questioned how she could be unfamiliar with two widely discussed figures.
