Veteran Nollywood actor Yemi Solade has claimed he was once paid to fake a church healing, saying he pretended to be crippled as a student and spent the money on drinks.
The revelation came in an interview with Feel Right News TV that circulated on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Solade said the episode happened long before fame, when he was still an unknown student. He did not name the church or the pastors, but he said those involved are still alive.
“I have been used for miracle then, when I was not popular, I acted as a cripple, they paid, I used the money to drink then I was a student. The people involved are still alive; I don’t just want to mention names,” he said.
According to him, he was recruited to pose as a physically disabled worshipper during a service so a staged healing could play out in front of the congregation. He framed it as a paid job at a time when student cash was tight.
His refusal to name names has split viewers. Some want the churches exposed. Others say an unnamed allegation leaves the public with shock and no one to hold to account.
