BBNaija star Phyna has intensified the drama surrounding Bella Okagbue and Sheggz by claiming she personally witnessed a heated altercation at Bella’s house that she believes involved domestic violence.
In a video that quickly went viral, Phyna explained that she slept over at Bella’s residence, a decision that reportedly angered Sheggz. She said she was downstairs when she heard the couple arguing inside their room. According to Phyna, Bella later spoke about the incident and admitted she had been abused.
“I slept at Bella’s house one night and I heard noise coming from their room upstairs. When Bella came out crying, I asked her if Sheggz beat her. She said no. It’s just now that Bella is telling me that Sheggz beat her that night because I stayed over at their house.”
Sheggz has repeatedly denied the allegations. In chats with Phyna that later surfaced, he wrote:
“Lie all you want. I never touched Bella in my life and you know it.”
The former couple, who met and fell in love during the BBNaija Level Up season, dated for about four years before their relationship ended in January 2026. Sheggz confirmed the split and revealed that much of 2025 was difficult for him as he spent significant time in and out of hospital. He said he genuinely wanted the relationship to work and even purchased an engagement ring, but ultimately walked away because of unresolved issues of trust and respect.

Leaked messages have painted a more complicated picture. Chats allegedly from October 2023 show Bella complaining to Sheggz’s mother about an N11 million debt.
“It’s too bad that whenever I remind Segun about the #11,000,000 he owes me, he fights me. I don’t know how to go about my rent and my life in general,” Bella wrote.
She added that she was scared to remind him about the money because it always caused fights, noting that her father is not Dangote.
In other leaked conversations, Bella’s mother expressed raw anger.
“There shall be no peace for a man who deceived my daughter for 4 years. I will show you that I’m a widow, and no man would deceive my daughter for 4 years and embarrass her this way. There shall be no peace, no rest, and no fulfilment in your life. You promised my daughter marriage for years; how do you expect to have peace?,” she wrote.
Sheggz’s own mother also appeared in a private chat with Bella, urging her to remain calm and advising her to disregard a video by his ex-girlfriend Gbemi, which she described as misleading. Gbemi has since taunted Sheggz online following news of the breakup, posting laughing emojis with the caption:
“They said it’s not enough. Let me add some more.”
She had previously accused him of verbal and physical abuse during their own relationship.
Additional leaked messages show further tension. Bella reportedly told Sheggz she would no longer be “lovey-dovey” with him until he proposed, complaining that their conversations had become dominated by sex.
“It’s been 4 years. You should know whether you want to marry me or not. If you are still uncertain, then it’s not me!! You can’t keep wasting my time; you can let me go,” she said.
In other exchanges, the pair accused each other of cheating, while Sheggz complained of ear pain after allegedly being slapped by Bella.
