Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has finally broken his silence on the long-running feud with fellow rapper Odumodublvck, revealing that the bitter rivalry started over a woman both men met and pursued at the same time.
Speaking on the Nevon Podcast, Blaqbonez explained that the two once shared a cordial professional relationship and even made music together before everything fell apart in 2023.
“Me and Odumodu Black used to be cool, we had cordial relationship then. Sometime in 2023, like June or July, we met a girl at the same place at the same time, we were both interested in the girl and both parties made moves to her,” he said.
Blaqbonez described his connection with the woman as non-exclusive.
“I can’t say we were dating or anything. It wasn’t official, but like, the best term to describe it would be like friends with benefits, right? Because we kind of like, were friends and we were intimate,” he stated.
The arrangement lasted about a year.
According to him, the woman later sent a message ending their friendship. He felt the tone was performative and eventually asked her who she was dating. That was when he learned she was now with Odumodublvck.
Blaqbonez said he immediately stepped back.
“You guys won’t hear from me again. I will respect everything that you guys have. Peace,” he told her.
The situation took a sharp turn when Odumodublvck contacted him shortly after. The conversation grew tense after Odumodublvck asked whether Blaqbonez had been intimate with the woman. Blaqbonez refused to give details, saying he did not want to affect their relationship.
“I don’t know what she told you, so I can’t answer this question and affect anything that you guys have,” Blaqbonez recalled responding.
Odumodublvck then declared:
“Then we are enemies since you are not telling me. Peace out, bro.”
Blaqbonez also shared that Odumodublvck later asked more private questions, including when they last had sex, which he declined to answer. He claimed the tension escalated into months of messages, public call-outs, and eventually serious allegations.
The rapper further revealed that the matter grew so intense that both men were invited to Aso Rock for mediation with a brigadier general. They signed a document agreeing not to speak against each other. Blaqbonez claimed that after the meeting, Odumodublvck’s team celebrated as if they had won.
He has denied any sexual abuse claims that later surfaced publicly, stating he is taking legal action to clear his name and will pursue the case fully in court.
