Nollywood star Mojisola Adebanjo has issued a powerful declaration of self-love and career priority, revealing how acting has cost her relationships and why she will never compromise her passion again for any man.
During her explosive appearance on the Conversations With Kenni podcast with host Kehinde Ajose, Mojisola opened up about the unique struggles actresses face in finding genuine love.
“It’s true that actresses find it hard to find love. Some are very lucky to find men who specifically want to be with actresses. Then there are some men who say their wives could never be an actress. It has happened to me. When I shot Faridah’s Secret, I was in a very serious relationship that ended in a big fight.”
She admitted the emotional toll of balancing fame with romance but drew a firm line in the sand regarding her future.
“I’ve had to break up with someone because of it. I’m currently single. Anyone that wants to slide into my DM should bear in mind that I’m never leaving my acting career… I’m not going to compromise anything again. I almost made the mistake of compromising my career over a relationship before, but I’m never going to do that again. Even if we’re married, my husband won’t be able to stop me.”

Mojisola also advised fellow actresses to build financial independence beyond acting.
“I agree that actresses should have side hustles because they must have something to bank on outside of Nollywood… Getting jobs in Nollywood is not always consistent so I feel like they should have businesses outside of acting they can bank on during the dry spells.”
Her bold stance comes after earlier revelations in the same interview where she denied ever sleeping with anyone for roles and shared past compromises, painting a picture of a resilient woman who has learned from heartbreak and is now choosing herself unapologetically.
