Nollywood actress and producer Bolaji Ogunmola has passionately addressed ongoing accusations that her movie is receiving preferential treatment in cinemas at the expense of other films, denying any involvement in sabotage and revealing the heavy financial and emotional toll the controversy is taking on her.
The actress, who has been actively promoting her latest project, spoke out after fellow actress Fathia Williams publicly called out cinemas for allegedly favouring certain movies with better showtimes.

Bolaji clarified that the perception against her film is false and damaging.
“So many things have been going but I’ve been quiet because I just wanted us to focus on our goal.”
She explained the reality of her own experience:
“There’s an ideology that cinemas are favoring my films at the expense of other people’s films which is not true. The showtimes we got are not special. There are places we got one showtime, places we got showtime at 10pm.”
Bolaji stressed that cinema scheduling decisions are based on perceived performance and public conversation around each film, not personal interference.
“The way these schedules are done depends on how the cinemas view the films and the conversations about the films in the media space. It has nothing to do with me.”
In an emotional plea, the actress expressed deep pain over alleged misinformation being spread about her movie.
“I’ve been to different cinemas where they lie that my film has two parts. My film is a standalone movie. I’ve invested a lot of money into this and it’s painful how people I look up to are trying to sabotage me.”
She appealed directly to moviegoers to support her project so she can recover her substantial investment, while appreciating colleagues like Toyin Abraham for their promotional efforts. Bolaji made it clear she does not want any film to suffer sabotage due to negative perceptions created by the ongoing drama.
