Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has passionately called on the organisers of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) to give veteran actor Yul Edochie the recognition she believes he richly deserves.
Following the 12th edition of the AMVCA held over the weekend, Martins took to social media to advocate for her colleague despite their well-known personal differences.
“Hate aside, Yul Edochie is a fantastic actor, and he deserves a win. AMVCA, you people can do better. Congratulations to all the amazing winners tho. No hate zone.”
Martins further emphasised that her appeal was based purely on professional merit.
“Don’t get me wrong my loves, I just feel he deserves to be recognised for his incredible talent. Yul might not be my person, but he’s Nollywood pride in terms of talent.”
