Big Brother Naija All Stars winner Ilebaye Odiniya, her father Emmanuel Odiniya, and one of her brothers have all been hospitalised following a physical confrontation at their family home in Abuja. The incident occurred in the early hours of May 9, 2026, and has drawn intense public attention.

Ilebaye, along with her younger brothers Godson and Devin, were rescued from Royal Anchor Estate in Wuye after a distress call around midnight. All parties sustained injuries during the confrontation and were taken to Yabisam Hospital in Lugbe for treatment.

FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the situation in a statement:
“The man is in the hospital; he is sick. All of them were badly injured and are all in the hospital. We’ve not released anybody.”
In a follow-up clarification, Adeh stated:
“The rescued siblings are currently in police protective custody, contrary to the circulation online, while their father, who is also receiving medical treatment, remains in police custody. Investigations are ongoing, and questioning will commence immediately all parties are certified medically stable by the attending medical doctors.”
The police clarification came after BBNaija star Phyna publicly claimed on X that Ilebaye’s father had been released and the brothers returned to him. Phyna wrote:
“Baye’s dad just got released and the 2 younger brothers given back to him…. Please, what kind of style is this one, no investigation, no proper investigation; you left him to go home. Nigeria police.”
She also noted that she gets approval from Ilebaye and her mother before posting about the matter.
As of May 10, 2026, Ilebaye has not issued a personal official statement. The FCT Police Command has assured the public that a thorough investigation is underway.
