Nollywood actress and producer Bimbo Ademoye boldly confronted a group of area boys who stormed her outdoor film shoot and demanded money from the production team in a tense viral video that has captured widespread attention.
The incident occurred during an active outdoor shoot when several men approached the set making aggressive demands for a “settlement.” Such extortion attempts by local thugs have become a recurring challenge for movie crews filming in public spaces, often forcing producers to pay up or risk disruption and damage to equipment.
In the clip, Ademoye stood her ground without backing down. She addressed the men directly, making it clear she was not intimidated.
“I am a street girl, let me tell you. Ask around, when it comes to matters of the street, I like settling boys. But you don’t come to me and tell me to give you a certain amount.”
When one of the thugs insisted he was not begging, Ademoye shot back:
“Yes, you came to beg! And you are even being proud of it.”
The confrontation intensified when one of the men threatened to switch off her camera. Ademoye responded sharply:
“Camera that nobody in your generation has.”
The actress, known for her versatility in both lead and supporting roles across romantic comedies and dramatic films, refused to yield to the pressure. She made it known that while she is willing to support people in the community, she would not tolerate being given ultimatums or disrespected on her own set.
