Nollywood actress Juwon Adewunmi, now based in the United States, has openly shared her long-standing preference for marrying a white man, revealing that she has lived that dream since 2019. In a candid interview on the Talk To B podcast, the actress described her interracial union as fulfilling a deep personal desire while acknowledging the cultural challenges that come with it.
Juwon made her feelings crystal clear.
“I have always loved to be married to a white man.”
She explained her attraction to what she sees as a more affectionate and attentive approach.
“They are more caring than our black men. The whites love more than black men. They are crazy lovers—you would love them—but they have their own other sides.”
The actress, who has been married to her white husband for nearly seven years, emphasized that crossing cultural boundaries demands patience and understanding.
“Getting married to someone from another part of the world requires patience. Because we are from different parts of the world, we don’t have the same attitudes. We have different cultures.”
She highlighted specific contrasts in family dynamics.
“For us, we honour and care for our parents. For them, they really don’t care—they leave their parents’ house quite early.”
Juwon added that Hollywood portrayals can create unrealistic expectations.
“Everything we watch in their movies is just make-believe.”
Juwon Adewunmi did not address any specific past relationships with Nigerian men but focused instead on the rewards and realities of her current union. Her comments have already begun circulating widely, with many netizens praising her honesty while others debate the merits of her observations on love styles between cultures.
