Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has thrown fresh shade at her namesake, Blessing CEO, following the latter’s emotional revelation that she is battling stage 4 cancer. In an Instagram story, Nkechi questioned the authenticity of the claim by referencing Blessing CEO’s past controversies.
Nkechi wrote pointedly:
“What do you expect from someone who claims a whole building as her own? For years, people have mistaken me for that Grade 1 cloutina. It was like bearing the name Blessing is a curse. But me, I’m blessed sha. All my social media are monetized, but I only speak when I feel like it, not because I can’t feed without monetised money. At least now, they won’t mistake me for rubbish again. Mad person!!”
The comment comes days after Blessing CEO shared distressing Instagram videos in which she broke down in tears, stating she is battling stage 4 cancer. She added that she is still living in denial while packing her bags for hospital treatment, noting that she rarely falls sick and does not frequent hospitals.

This latest reaction from Nkechi Blessing revives their long-running feud. The two fell out publicly in 2023 after Nkechi left a body-shaming comment on Blessing CEO’s bikini photos, comparing her body to a placard. Blessing CEO fired back, mocking Nkechi’s habit of dating younger men.
Despite the bad blood, the pair surprisingly reconciled at Priscilla Ojo’s wedding earlier this year. Nkechi congratulated Blessing CEO publicly and expressed hope that she could finally breathe after finding her partner, IVD. Blessing CEO said she was making peace with past enemies to avoid dragging her fiancé into old controversies.
Last year, Nkechi reignited the tension by mocking Blessing CEO’s public displays of affection, pointing out that she once trolled others for the same behaviour. Blessing CEO responded with a loved-up video of herself and IVD, advising Nkechi to learn how to keep a man and get married.
Meanwhile, another actress, Sarah Martins, had earlier accused Blessing CEO of staging the cancer announcement as a “manipulative stunt” to raise money for IVD’s business.
