Nollywood actress Motilola Akinlami has opened up about how senior colleague Femi Adebayo stepped in to help settle a painful public disagreement between her and her boss, Kunle Afod. The actress shared the details during a recent interview on the YouTube show Unscripted with Jeff Owolewa, praising Adebayo’s intervention as the key to restoring peace.
Motilola described the conflict as deeply distressing, noting that it escalated to the point where she felt compelled to address it publicly on social media.
“The major conflict that I had with someone I respect a lot was really painful for me. It degenerated to the point where I had to go on social media to call names. It was painful for me to get to that point.”
She revealed that Femi Adebayo was the one who encouraged both parties to reconcile. According to Motilola, the actor stepped up and urged them to resolve the matter, after which they realised external influences had been stirring the situation.
“Somebody I respect a lot stepped up and told me to resolve it. We discovered that some people were taking advantage of the situation to feed us things.”
Expressing gratitude, Motilola gave full credit to Femi Adebayo for helping them move past the issue.
“Shout-out to Femi Adebayo for helping us put things over. He is a peaceful, good person who doesn’t like wahala.”
She also confirmed that the rift is now behind them.
“Issues between me and my boss, Kunle Afod, have been resolved. God has helped us to resolve things.”
In a direct summary of the outcome, Motilola thanked Femi Adebayo for the resolution.
“The rift between me and Kunle Afod has been settled. Big thanks to Femi Adebayo for stepping in.”
The disagreement first made headlines in 2024 when Motilola publicly accused Kunle Afod and his wife, Desola, of sabotaging her career and spreading allegations against her on social media. At the time, she described the experience as emotionally and professionally draining but expressed gratitude for overcoming it with divine help.
