Popular Nigerian comedian, skit maker and social media influencer Samuel Perry, widely known as Broda Shaggy, is currently recovering in hospital after allegedly sustaining a gunshot injury during a comedy shoot in the Sango-Ota area of Ogun State.
Reports indicate the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon under the Sango-Ota bridge while Broda Shaggy and his crew were filming content. A police source confirmed that the content creator was injured during the production, though the exact circumstances remain unclear. His team quickly rushed him to Blooming Care Hospital in the Alakuko area of Lagos for initial treatment before he was referred to Duchess Hospital in the Government Residential Area, Ikeja, where he is receiving further care.
The Lagos State Police Command has acknowledged the case after the hospital alerted authorities to a gunshot victim. Officers responded and found Broda Shaggy on a stretcher with an injury to his thigh. Police spokesperson Abimbola Adebisi noted that the shooting took place in Ogun State, outside their direct jurisdiction, but investigations are ongoing. The Ogun State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
