The case was brought to the attention of the authorities by Muyiwa Adejobi, the former Nigerian police spokesperson, who tagged his successor Benjamin Hundeyin and the force’s official X account in a post featuring footage of the most recent incident.
The influencer’s spiral into distress marks a dark turn in a high-profile online feud that has captivated social media for weeks.
King Mitchy and social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) had been locked in an intense war of words.
The conflict originally centered on accusations regarding the authenticity of their respective philanthropic activities.
The incident took a dramatic turn during a live video, where Mitchy was seen consuming a substance believed to be “hypo” (a brand of bleach) while in tears, as concerned viewers scrambled to intervene.
Her management initially announced that she had passed away as a result of ingesting the chemical substance but later retracted the announcement, clarifying that she was, in fact, alive and recovering.
The situation once again took another turn after a visibly distressed Mitchy was seen ingesting “sniper” in a new live video in an attempt to end her life.
