Veteran Nollywood comic actor Wale Akorede, popularly known as Okunnu, has publicly fired back at Olasco Films after being labelled an ingrate amid a resurfaced dispute over an alleged 16-year unpaid debt.
The controversy began after Okunnu accused the film marketing outfit of failing to pay him his share of proceeds from a movie he said he both produced and directed. The actor insisted the matter has remained unresolved for over a decade and a half, and says forgiveness is not an option.
In response, Olasco defended his position during an interview with Tunde Ola-Yusuf, claiming he paid Okunnu ₦2 million to produce the film and rejecting the debt allegation.
But the actor has now broken what he described as years of silence. Taking to Instagram under the interview’s comment section, Okunnu issued a stern warning, signalling a looming escalation.
“I’m still coming for you in a BIG way. My silence for 16 years is coming soon.”
The statement suggests the long-running disagreement may be heading toward a fresh public confrontation, as fans watch closely to see what the actor will reveal next.
